We believe legal terms should be straightforward, fair, and readable by human beings. These terms outline your rights and responsibilities when using FreeHabitTracking.

01 · Agreement

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using FreeHabitTracking (available at freehabittracking.com) or installing our Progressive Web App (PWA), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any portion of these terms, your sole remedy is to cease using the application.

FreeHabitTracking is provided entirely free of charge for personal, educational, and professional productivity enhancement.

02 · Data Storage

2. Local-First Architecture & User Data Responsibility

Because FreeHabitTracking is engineered with a strict local-first privacy standard:

  • All habits, checkmarks, completion history, streak calculations, and journal notes are stored exclusively in your device's browser sandbox (localStorage).
  • We do not operate central database backups. If you clear your browser cache, perform a factory reset, or browse in incognito mode without saving, your data may be lost.
  • Backup Responsibility: We strongly encourage users to take advantage of our built-in 1-click Export features (PDF, Excel, Notion, Google Sheets, JSON) to maintain periodic off-device backups of their habit records.
03 · Licensing

3. Permitted Use & Template Licensing

You are granted a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use the website, habit tracker engine, and downloadable template generators.

✓ What You Can Do
  • Print unlimited copies of habit tracker PDFs for your personal use, students, or team.
  • Export and modify Excel (.xlsx), Google Sheets, and Notion databases freely.
  • Install the PWA across any number of personal phones, tablets, or computers.
✕ What You Cannot Do
  • Resell our free printable templates or workbooks as standalone digital products on Etsy or Gumroad.
  • Scrape or mirror the website to deploy duplicate paywalled clones.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or inject malicious code into client bundles.
04 · Warranties

4. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

FreeHabitTracking is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the creators and operators of FreeHabitTracking shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of routine continuity, or device hardware issues arising out of or related to your use of this free service.

5. Modifications to the Service and Terms

We reserve the right to improve, modify, or update features in FreeHabitTracking at any time. Any revisions to these Terms will be posted directly to this page with an updated Effective Date. Your continued use of the service following such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
